- RECOVERY - THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY AND IS IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY REQUIREMENTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS PROVIDED BY THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (ARRA), PUBLIC LAW 111-5. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO W.S. ANDERSON INCORPORATED, 33 DOVER STREET.SUITE 124, BROCKTON, MA 02301, UNDER CONTRACT WC1330-08-CQ-0085, AN 8(A) CONCERN. The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) posts this notice of intent to issue a negotiated solicitation on a sole-source basis to W.S. Anderson of Brockton, MA, an 8(a) firm. The estimated value of this action is between $1,000,000.00 and $3,500,000.00. This action is for design-build (DB) construction of facility restoration items for NOAA, NMFS Laboratory, Milford, CT for the following base and optional requirements: Base Bid: HVAC - Design and construction services to replace existing air handler units with new units; Elevator - Design and construct a replacement of current hydraulic elevator with machine room-less, lift traction elevator specifically designed to fit in the hydraulic footprint; Roof - Remove the entire existing roll roofing and built up roofing systems and install new tapered insulation and modified bitumen roof system on all roof areas. Option 1: Fume Hood - replace the hood with a current state-of-the-art general purpose fume hood with new exhaust fan and duct right sized for the hood. Option 2: Emergency Generator - Replace existing 150 KVA Diesel Generator, Transfer Switch, Emergency Breaker Panels, and Conduit and Wiring with a new larger system capable of powering the entire laboratory building. Under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.805-1(b)(2), award can be made to W.S. Anderson, Inc., on a sole-source basis NTE $3.5 million.
