- Description
- The Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG), Office of Contracts (CON) located in Washington, DC has a requirement, subject to the availability of funding, for a Contractor to provide its Voice of America (VOA) with a comprehensive news feed service of United States (US) domestic stories. Copy of the commercial item solicitation describing this requirement is attached hereto. Offerors must supply at least one (1) sample news feed on Betacam SP or SX tape from the following four time periods: 2am - 6am, 6am - 2pm, 2pm-6pm, 6pm - 2am. ). If the offeror supplies file based news stories, sample stories can be provided on videotape or DVDs. The tapes or DVDs must provide samples of 10 of the top news stories, and five stories in each of the following categories: politics, sports, entertainment, economy and finance, and feature/human interest. Three sample stories from each of the medical, science and technology, and environment categories. Offeror must also provide sample support materials of feed rundowns, scripts, ID super information, and timings of stories. The two components, sample stories and related textual support material, must be submitted by 2:00PM, Eastern Time, on August 19, 2009. The Agency designates Wednesday August 12, 2009 as the record date for sample tapes and support materials. This material should be delivered to Myria Carpenter. Submissions of sample tapes may be sent via courier or overnight delivery prior to the deadline. Proposals consisting of separate technical and price, shall be submitted in original and three (3) copies before the deadline to Myria Carpenter, Broadcasting Board of Governors, International Broadcasting Bureau, Office of Contracts, 330 C Street, SW, Room 4007B, Washington, DC 20237. It is desirable that the Offerors include a provision for coverage of special events and purchase of stock or archival footage as separate provisions in the proposal. Telephone requests will not be honored, and no bidders list will be maintained. All responsible sources may submit an offer that will be considered by the Agency.
