- This special notice is an announcement that the Program Support Center (PSC) intends to award a Sole Source Purchase Order to the University of Miami (FL) in support of website enhancements and a potential method to develop a statistical model to see if there's a relationship between the Heat Stress Index and variations in human mortality in various urban areas in the United States. Quotes are not being requested and a solicitation will not be issused. This purchase will be made under simplified acquisition procedures and Other than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1. The anticipated award date is August 7th, 2009. This notice is neither a request for competitive proposals nor a solicitation of offers. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
