This solicitation will utilize Acquisition Procedures in FAR Part 12. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-30 effective 17 Feb 2009. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 488190. Small business size standard is 500 employees. This acquisition is unrestricted. Unit Small Business Specialist is Major Michael S. Watson (509-247-4879); link to USAF Small Business, http://www.selltoairforce.org; link to SBA http://sba.gov. Fairchild AFB has a requirement to restore/renovate a B-52 currently used as a static display (See Attachment Six, Performance Work Statement). The performance period for this work is not to excced 180 days not including the winter exclusion period. As part of their proposal, contractors shall provide a proposed performance schedule for the actual amount of time it will take to complete the work. This is for information purposes only and is not an evaluation factor for award. Work shall be performed in accordance with the attached Performance-based Work Statement and shall not begin until after the contractor has attended a preperformance conference. The preperformance conference is included in the 180 day performance period. A site visit is scheduled to be held on 14 August 2009 at 9:00 AM Pacific Daylight Savings Time. The meeting will begin in the main conference room of the 92d Contracting Squadron. Please contact the contract administrator, Mr. Ed Campbell, at 509-247-2237, or the contracting officer, Ms. Staci Ramrakha, at 509-247-3859, prior to the site visit, to make base access arrangements. Quotes are due no later than 24 August 2009 at 1:00 PM Pacific Daylight Savings Time. A full copy of the solicitation and all associated documents are attached.
