- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) has a requirement forspecialized computer magnetic media devices for acoustic analysis support. To meet this requirement NSWCCD intends to negotiate a non-competitive procurement with Officenation, Inc. 425 Huehl Rd. Bldg. 5 Northbrook IL, 60062. The tape devices are currently being used for specialized acoustic analysis support by submarines and the aural acoustic processing stations and the Sole Source is based upon compatibility with existing equipment. Award of a firm-fixed price purchase order is anticipated under Simplified Acquisition procedures. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes however all responsible sources submitting quotes within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis shall be considered by the agency. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
