Description

The National Institutes of Health intends to award a firm fixed price contract to Carestream Health Inc., 150 Verona Street, Rochester, NY 14608. The requirement is to upgrade to the V10.1 Carestream Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) to the existing PACS located in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences. This project is funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) and is subject to the reporting requirements of the act. Caretsream Health Inc. is the only source that can upgrade components to an existing PACS. The upgrade involves proprietary software and hardware manufactured by Caretsream and can only be serviced and upgrade by Caretsream. The upgrade must interface with all the devices and systems currently supported by the existing PACS and NIH security and confidentiality specifications. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System Code 334517, with an employee size standard of 500. This opportunity is available only to the contractor Carestream Health Inc. in this presolicitation notice. The Period of Performance to be completed 90 days from date of award.
