Description
ADD/ALTER, CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER (ADAL CDC), CANNON AIR FORCE BASE, CURRY COUNTY, NEW MEXICO. The proposed procurement is a Small Business Set-Aside. Only offers from qualified Small Business Concerns, as determined by the Small Business Administration (SBA) will be accepted. Offers received from concerns that are not certified by the SBA as a Small Business shall be considered non-responsive and will be rejected. NAICS is 237990/SIC 1541, with a size standard of $33,500,000.00. The magnitude of construction for this project is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. Bonding will be required for this acquisition. Offerors attention is directed to Section 00100 in the Solicitation for information regarding the tour of the site. Plans will be issued on or about 14 August 2009, with proposals due on or about 15 September 2009. Offerors are advised that this requirement may be delayed, cancelled, or revised at any time during the solicitation, or final award process, and is subject to the availability of funds. THE PROJECT consists of construction of an approximately 16,000 SF new addition and 9,000 SF remodel to the Child Development Center (CDC) Building 7019 at CAFB, New Mexico. Construction consists of a one-story structure with concrete foundation and floor slab, steel frame, structural reinforcement of exterior wall finishes, widows, energy efficient HVAC, fire suppression and lighting systems, internal standard communications systems and closed circuit television systems, standing seam sloped metal roof and all necessary utility support along with parking and site work. The CDC project will require phasing to ensure the existing CDC can remain operational during construction. THE PROJECT will be advertised as an Invitation for Bid (IFB). Notification of amendments shall be made via Internet only, as well. It is therefore the Contractors responsibility to check the following address daily for any posted changes to this solicitation.
