- QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS (29 JULY 2009) QUESTION 1: Is this solicitation set aside for a small business or a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business? ANSWER: This solicitation is set aside for a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business. An SDVOB is considered a small business, which is why the solicitation document contains small business clauses and the small business box is checked. However, only those eligible for award are vendors that are a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business. ___________________________________________________________ Updated on 28 July 2009 to include Solicitation Clauses. Please see attachments. ____________________________________________________________________ This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-32. The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) has a requirement for a one (1) OM HP 5550dn Color Postscript Tabloid Laser Network Printer (OR EQUIVALENT). If you're able to meet this requirement, please submit a quote in accordance with the stipulations set forth below. 1. This requirement is set aside, in its entirety for SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED BUSINESSES and competed solely through the Government Point of Entry (www.fbo.gov). Quotes from vendors that do not qualify as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned business will not be considered. 2. All quotes must list the salient characteristics of the item proposed. 3. The printer shall be new and not refurbished or remanufactured. 4. The total price quotes should include shipping/handling, FOB Destination and any other ancillary costs, as relevant. 5. The quote shall include not only the total price, but should also be broken out into price per unit. 6. Quotes will be evaluated based on price and technical acceptability. Award will be made to the offeror with the LOWEST PRICED TECHNICALLY ACCEPTABLE quote. If two or more quotes are equal in all respects, the government will choose a winner in accordance with FAR Part 14.408-6. 7. Quotes shall be based upon Attachment I, Printer Specifications. Quotes must include specification sheet in order to be classified as technically acceptable. 8. To be considered for award, your company must be registered under the NAICS code specified in this RFQ. 9. Delivery Timetable: No longer than 30 days from date of award. 10. All quotes are due by 5:00 pm est. on 08/06/09 VIA E-MAIL ONLY. 11 All ship to locations are identified on Attachment I. 12.
