- The contractor shall conduct FCS technical studies and tradeoffs for the SSBN Replacement Common Missile Compartment. These studieswill consist of but not to limited to a Power Architecuture Study to provide Power Control and Monitoring concepts. Missle Tube Module study whick includes signal sollation and portable TIP concepts, Software Impact study and Weapon System Simulator Obsilescences study. Negotiations will be conducted with General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS), Pittsfield, MA. GDAIS is the sole manufacturer of the TRIDENT (II) D5 Strategic Weapon System (SWS) Fire Control System and Attack Weapons Control System and the only source with the in-depth knowledge, expertise, and in-place capability to perform the required effort.
