- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written (formal) solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ), solicitation number M67854-09-R-8095 in accordance with FAR Parts 12.6 & 13.5. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-34, effective 01July 2009. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible small business sources may submit a quote, which if received timely, will be considered by the agency. Please read and comply with all requirements for submitting a quote. Failure to comply with all instructions contained within this combined synopsis/ solicitation could result in the quote being ineligible for award. It is the offeror's responsibility to ensure their quote meets all the requirements identified herein. The Marine Corps has a current requirement for the procurement and installation of Tactical Control Measures Limit (Maneuver Box) Markers at Range 11 and Range 15, Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia. Currently, The Basic School (TBS) executes squad, platoon, and platoon (+) live fire training at ranges R-11, and R-15. Current markings for maneuver boxes and lines of departure are hard to see and need to be replaced. These Tactical Control Measures Limit (Maneuver Box) Markers should be of the same construction as the left and right lateral limit markers, with the exception of color designation. By replacing the existing tactical control markers, TBS will be able to execute more effective and safer training. A total of twenty-four (24) markers are required. The government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible bidder proposal conforming to the solicitation which will be most advantageous and BEST VALUE to the Government, price and other factors considered.
