Description
The U. S. Coast Guard has a requirement for manufacture, testing, inspection, and packaging of Right Hand (RH) and Left Hand (LH) propellers used on U. S. Coast Guard 240 foot WLBB Icebreaker Vessels in accordance with Specification P-245-240WLBB dated 2/27/09 titled Purchase Specification for Propellers used on 240 foot WLBB Icebreaker and USCG Drawing No. 240-WLBB-004 Rev. – dated 11/04/08, Mackinaw Propeller. The quantity will be two each Right Hand and two each Left Hand. The contractor shall maintain ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994 – dated 1994, General Requirements for Calibration Laboratories and Measuring and Test Equipment and ANSI/ASQC Q9003-1994 – dated 1994, Quality Systems – Model for Quality Assurance in Final Inspection and Test. Welding procedures, welding qualifications and weld performance qualifications in accordance with the specification must be submitted with the solicitation for approval. A Test/Inspection Plan, Chemical Composition Analysis, and a Tensile Properties Test for each propeller casting are required and Final Inspection Report must be submitted to the Contracting Officer for review/approval. The required date for receipt of the Chemical Composition Analysis, Tensile Properties Test is 6 weeks after casting propellers and the Final Inspection Report is 42 weeks after contract award. Delivery to be made F.O.B. destination to Winjamin Storage, 855 Taft Street, Gary, IN 46404. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be posted on FEDBIZOPS when issued. Contractors are encouraged to check FEDBIZOPS on a regular basis for the solicitation and any amendments.
