Description
1. This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the test program for commercial items found at FAR 13, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. This combined synopsis/solicitation SHALL be posted on both FEDBIZOPPS and NECO (http://www.neco.navy.mil/). The RFQ number is N00189-09-T-0404. This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2005- 06 and DFARS Change Notice 20090115. It is the responsibility of the contractor to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 333618 - Other Engine Equipment Manufacturing and the Small Business Standard is 1,000 employees. This is a 100% small Business Set-Aside. Offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at http://www.ccr.gov, in order to be considered for award. 3. Description of product: This requirement is for sixteen (16) brand new Detroit Diesel cylinder heads with new casting head complete with J6 valves, cam rollers, rockers, rocker shafts and injection tubes. The head has to be a Detroit Diesel, no substitutes. Price quote will incorporate core charges for each of the 16 cylinder heads required. This combined synopsis & solicitation notice is a request for competitive quotations. Therefore, all capability statements or quotations received prior to the RFQ close date will be considered by the Fleet & Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk. 5. This procurement is F.O.B. Destination with a delivery date of not later than August 14, 2009. The shipment address will be ASSAULT CRAFT UNIT TWO, 2901 AMPHIBIOUS DR. BLDG 1522, NORFOLK, VA 23521. Responsibility and Inspection: unless otherwise specified in the order, the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements and quality control. 6. Submit the following documents in response to this RFQ in the format specified: a. Price Quotation (Submit documents in Microsoft Word (.doc) or Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format.) 7. Offers are due on August 4, 2009 2:00 PM EST. All questions/inquiries must be submitted to the contract administrator via electronic mail (e-mail) not later than 3:00 PM EST on August 3, 2009. Offerors who fail to complete and submit the requirements above may be considered non-responsive.
