- SOLICITATION NO. 301819B144 PROJECT TITLE: Repair pond 1 Exterior Dike at the Genoa National Fish Hatchery, Genoa Wisconsin. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Restoration of a 1,300 foot long earth-fill dike including: tree removal, clearing and grubbing, hauling fill, shaping and grading, backfill placement and compaction, installation of geo-textile fabric, riprap and placement of gravel along the top of the dike as shown on the construction drawings. It is anticipated that performance will begin in early Fall on or about October 1, 2009 with a performance period of 120 calendar days after issuance of a notice to proceed with the work. A firm-fixed price contract is contemplated that will require performance and payment bonding to cover the estimated ceiling magnitude cost of the project. ESTIMATED MAGNITUDE: The magnitude of this requirement in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range is between $250,000 and $500,000. This procurement is issued unrestricted under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, Public Law 100-656, and is NOT set-aside exclusively for small business concerns. For information purposes, the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, with a size standard of $33.5 Million. The Solicitation Package will be available via electronic commerce at http://ideasec.nbc.gov and http://www.fedbizopps.gov on or about August 18, 2009 with a Bid Opening occurring on or about September 16, 2009. The Solicitation Package will include the following: An itemized Bid Schedule, Scope of Work, Drawings, and Prevailing Wage Determination.
