- This is not a solicitation, but a Notice of Contract Action. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center, Boise Idaho, VISN20 Contracting Office, awarded a sole source Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) purchase order to Karl Storz Endoscopy-America (KSEA). KSEA shall provide materials and labor for the installation of fiber optic cable, S-Video Cable, Serial Digital Interface, and composite cabeling for Karl Storz surgical display monitors previously purchased. This install is for three surgery suite operating rooms on five MODUTEC Medium Arm Systems (booms). This service will be provided at the Boise VA Medical Center Under the authority of USC 2304 (c) (1) pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a) (ii), the property or services needed by the agency are available from only one responsible source or only from a limited number of responsible sources and no other type of property or services will satisfy the needs of the agency. A determination not to compete this proposed contract is based on market research and is solely within the discretion of the Government. This announcement is not a request for competitive quotations.
