- This solicitation will post to the web on or about 6 August. This acquisition is for the purchase of NSN 4710-01-229-7700, Tube Assembly, Metal. This item requires Government First Article Testing and Government Source Inspection. Sources waived from FAT requirements are cages 057Y9, 00624, and 81755. FOB Destination will be solicited, with deliveries to be made to DLA CONUS stocking locations. This is not a small business set aside. Acquisition is being solicited under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) since this is a 1C item and is available from only one or a limited number of sources. This is a restricted source item and requires engineering source approval by the Government design control activity. An Indefinite Quantity Contract with one base year and four additional option years is anticipated. Total five-year estimated quantity is 485 EA. Various incremental quantities will be solicited. Issue date of solicitation is an estimate and will be available for download in FedBizOpps on or about July 24, 2009 at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance, and other evaluation factors described in the solicitation.
