- The National Park Service is seeking a contractor to furnish all materials, labor, transportation and equipment necessary to re-strip approximately 117 miles of park roads within Mammoth Cave National Park. The solicitation will also include bid options of stop bars, traffic arrows and parking lot striping. All distances/quantities are estimates and provided for informational purposes only. Contract award is anticipated to occur in time for pavement operations to commence in early Fall 2009. Work shall be concluded within 30 days of the start date. Magnitude of this project is $25,000 to $100,000. Procurement is being conducted under full and open competition procedures under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The applicable NAICS code for this project is 237310 with a size standard of $31.0 million. This notice is not the solicitation. The solicitation package will be available on or about August 10, 2009, with original bids due on or about September 10, 2009 (see solicitation for exact date bids are due). The solicitation will be issued electronically as an Invitation for Bids on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) web site at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be made available. The Standard Form 1442 is available at the website by clicking on the "printer friendly form" link. The remainder of the solicitation (including all pertinent attachments ) is available at the web site by clicking on the links "clauses and attachments" which is located in the blue box near the middle of the screen. Bidders wishing to receive electronic notification of changes must register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http://ideas.nbc. gov.
