- Quotes are being solicited by the USDA, Forest Service from qualified emerging small businesses for the Greylock Bridge Site Stabilization project located on the Salmon-Challis National Forest, Custer County, Idaho. This project will stabilize the stream banks adjacent to existing bridge abutments by placing riprap protection and installing stream control structures. Work includes, but is not limited to, de-watering the streambed during excavation and placement activities; excavating unstable bank material; constructing embankment at damaged areas; disposing of excess excavation; placing geotextile on riprap placement areas; hauling and placing riprap from a Government source; constructing rock barbs in the streambed; and sorting and placing topping material on the riprap. This requirement is being solicited as a Request for Quote using simplified acquisition procedures. The approximate start work date is July of 2010 because of instream work restrictions. Quotes are due at 3:00 p.m. MST, August 31, 2009. The estimated price range is less than $25,000. The solicitation will be available on approximately August 10, 2009 and may be downloaded from this site at that time. All future information about this acquisition, including amendments, will be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Vendors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) http:www.ccr.gov and shall complete the On-Line Registration and Certifications Application (ORCA) http://orca.bpn.gov.. All responsible sources may submit a response to this announcement which will be considered by this agency.
