- Description
- The National Park Service is seeking a contractor to furnish all materials, labor and equipment necessary to provide and install ventilation systems in the sign, carpentry and welding shops. The sign shop and carpentry shops shall each receive a dust collection and fume collection system while the welding shop will receive only a fume collection system. All systems must be tested prior to acceptance and all systems must meet numerous ANSI and OSHA requirements as well. Award will be made as one lump sum for all systems at three locations. Award will be made on lowest cost technically acceptable based on knowledge and technical expertise in installation of systems comparable to specifications for this project. Work shall be concluded within 45 days of the start date. Magnitude of this project is $25,000 to $100,000. The applicable NAICS code for this project is 238220 and the size standard is $14.0 million. This notice is not the solicitation. The solicitation package will be available on or about August 10, 2009 with original quotes due on or about August 25, 2009 (see solicitation for exact date bids are due). This solicitation will have a shortened posting time of 15 days per FAR 5.202-(a)2. The soliciation will be issued electronically as a Request for Quotations on the department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) web site at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be made available. The Standard Form 1442 is available at the website by clicking on the "printer friendly form" link. The remainder of the solicitation (including all pertinent attachments) is available at the site by clicking on the link "clauses and attachments" which is located in the blue box near the middle of the screen. Bidders wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http://ideasec.nbc.gov.
