- Description
- Remove debris, laminated rust, pack rust, unclogging drain holes, cleaning out trunnion yokes by removing Plexiglas cover and clearing out dirt and moss, and blasting to SSPS SP5 the downstream and upstream side of each tainter gate. Each gate shall be painted with system no. 5-E-Z. Cleaning and painting shall be so programmed that dust or other contaminants from cleaning process do not fall on wet, newly painted surfaces. Structural repairs shall be made to the gates to fix corrosion damage. Replace existing side seal assemblies. Clean all existing Govt property including gates, weirs and bridge of all blast media and debris resulting from construction activities.
