Description
IAW FAR 5.101(a)(2), the U.S. Army CECOM Contracting Center-Washington intends to award a sole source purchase order in the amount of $113,000.00 to Coleman Technologies, Inc.. The Items being acquired are: 4 Remote Access Platform for Tactical Operations & Readiness (RAPTOR) Communicatio kits meeting the following requirements. 2 quantity light-weight, Mobile communication kit-NIPR 2 quantity- light-weight, Mobile Communication kit-SIPR 4 quantity- Warranty support. Note: Warranty/Maint support is based on 1-year, return-repair/replace for all RAPTOR components. Rationale for sole source:. The proposed four additional RAPTOR Kits must be one-man transportable and deployable without additional training support, changes in COMSEC equipment or modifications to other components of the existing network and satellite communications architecture. Additionally, OCONUS maintenance and logistics support require newly procured communications devices be compatible and interchangeable with existing equipment by utilizing the same repair parts, interconnection components and expendable supplies. Purchasing the required CTI/RAPTOR equipment and maintenance/warranty package from Coleman Technologies, Inc. minimizes the cost of home base network and COMSEC hardware needed to operate/support JTF-B locations in Soto Cano, Honduras. All responsible sources may submit a response, which will be considered by the agency, to this special notice by noon (12:00 p.m. EST) on July 28, 2009 (anticipated date of award). A synopsis of contract award will not be issued IAW FAR 5.301(b)(7).
