- 600 WATT HALL EFFECT THRUSTER. The solicitation number is FA8601-09-T-0060. The NAICS Code is 541712. The size standard is 500 employees. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). The proposed source is Busek, Inc. The purchase is for a one BHT 600 Watt Hall Effect Thruster with two BHC-1500 Cathodes, one Discharge Current Modulator, and one 1mN Colloid Thruster System. Busek, Inc. is the only known system that can meet all needs of the requiring office as they are the only manufacturer in the United States building the Discharge Current Modulator for this application. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, any quotation received within ten (10) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
