- RECOVERY--The purpose of modifying the pre-solicitation notice under Solicitation Number W9126G-09-R-0096 is the notify all interested parties that the seed project for this solicitation will be a American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) project. However, most other task order under these awarded MATOC contracts will not be ARRA funded projects. Information regarding the seed project is PR46-03, Repair/Improve Heating/Ventilating Systems - Bldg 493, Red River Army Depot. The work includes the following and incidental related work: cleanup of fine particulate carbon dust and removal from all surfaces in existing approximately 135,000 square foot building, installation of a steam heating coil and related steam and condensate piping to serve one existing overhead ventilation unit, replacement of a steam heating coil in one existing overhead heating and ventilation unit, replacement and reconfiguration of electronic controls on eight existing overhead heating/ventilation units, replacement of two 25 hp fan motors on two heating/ventilation units, general cleanup and refurbishment of eight overhead heating and/or ventilation units, fabrication and installation of exhaust and make up air hoods to serve chemical cleaning vats, new air curtains at three existing overhead doors, and replacement of numerous sheetmetal duct risers serving heating and ventilation units. The issuance of this solicitation: the new estimated solicitation issue date is targeted for on or about 29 July 2009; and the new targeted proposal due date is anticipated on or about 28 August 2009.
