- Location Map Description: Noise Impact Analysis for the transition Environmental Impact Statement. The contractor shall provide labor, equipment, supervision, supplies, and services necessary to obtain ambient sound levels in or in the vicinity of approximately three areas where private oil and gas developments are being proposed. A report shall be completed that discusses 1) existing acoustic environments in the areas, 2) noise effects from proposed oil and gas developments, 3) recommended mitigation measures to minimize noise effects from proposed oil and gas developments, and 4) general noise effects, including cumulative effects from oil and gas development activities that occur or may occur throughout the Allegheny National Forest and standard recommended mitigation measures. Location: Project areas on on the Allegheny National Forest in northwestern Pennsylvania (Forest, Elk, McKean, and Warren counties). See attached location map. Project sites are expected to be within Areas 1a, 1b, and 4c. Actual locations will be chosen upon contract award. Work is expected to begin in September 2009 and last approximately four months. Solicitation documents will be uploaded to this site on or around August 6, 2009. This includes work specifications and all other documents needed to submit an offer on this project. Offers are due September 10, 2009 at 4:30 pm ET. This project is advertised as a 100% small business set-aside.
