- Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Virginia plans to release a solicitation for proposed non-developmental chassis modifications which could restore HMMWV chassis performance and reliability. Potential HMMWV upgrades that could raise the vehicle ride height to (or near) original specifications, restore ride quality, increase Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) to improve payload, and improve vehicle stability and reliability are of interest. Developmental technologies are not desired upgrades that have been integrated on the HMMWV and whose effectiveness has been tested are the focus of the solicitation. This Sources Sought Notice is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Sources Sought Notice or pay for the information requested.
