Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The 1st Contracting Squadron is seeking information on potential firms qualified to provide quotes for a Shoreline Stabilization Project on Langley AFB, VA. The proposed award will be a firm fixed-price contract. The NAICS code for the project will be 541330 (marine erosion control). We intend to set-aside the project for Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), however we want to make sure there are businesses available and qualified to do this type of work. The general work description is to prepare tidal marsh planting soil sub grade and furnish and install specific planting soil by approved methods. Additionally, the project will consist of furnishing and installing the specified tidal saltwater marsh herbaceous plants. For further details on this project see contact info below. If you are a SDVOSB capable of doing this type of work please forward your information. Please note that FAR clause 52.219-14(b)(1) Services "Limitations on Subcontracting" would apply to this project which states that at least 50 percent of the cost of contract performance incurred for personnel shall be expended for employees of the concern. Any SDVOSB firm selected would have to show how it intends to meet the requirement. Any information submitted is voluntary. Request interested firms submit (1) the NAME, ADDRESS, and PHONE NUMBER of the firm (including CAGE code); (2) a summary of similar work performed, (3) SIZE STATUS. Responses to this notice will assist the Air Force in identifying potential sources and determining if a SDVOSB would be appropriate. Please submit responses by 12:00 p.m., EST, on 28-July-2008. It is anticipated that a solicitation will be issued 3 August 2009 and will be posted on FedBizOpps. Email all responses or questions to Lt. David Earl david.earl@langley.af.mil. Alternate contact is Steven Pillo at steven.pillo@langley.af.mil
