- The 19th Airlift Wing, Little Rock AFB, AR 72099 intends to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) to award a single, Firm-Fixed Price contract to provide all design, plant, labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform all operations in connection with Project NKAK 09-1070 ABC, Repair Renovate Command Post Interior and Construct Entrance Canopy, B314. The principle features of work include, but are not limited to the following: 1. Extensive Interior and Exterior Demolition 2. Built-Up Roof Removal 3. Installation of New Standing Seam Metal Roof System 4. New Brick Facade 5. Upgrade exterior masonry walls to meet current code 6. Upgrade steel structure to meet code requirements 7. New Interior Walls with all new finishes throughout building 8. All new doors and windows to meet Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection requirements 9. All new electrical systems to include power generator 10. All new HVAC system 11. New ADA compliant restrooms and showers 12. Construct Entrance Canopies 13. New fire detection and fire suppression systems Construction project magnitude is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00 Period of Performance is 450 days from issuance of Notice To Proceed This procurement is being issued as a 100% small business set-aside under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program (Ref: FAR 19.10) and In Accordance With Memorandum dated 2 Jun 2008 from the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense. All responsible sources may submit a bid. Bids must be valid for at least 120 days after the date bids are due. This office proposes to post an IFB FA4460-09-B-0003 to the FedBizOpps website (http://www.fbo.gov) on or about 27 July 2009. Once the solicitation is issued, it is important that any interested party review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. Contract award will be determined using the Sealed Bid Procedures in FAR Part 14. All contractors shall be ORCA registered (http://orca.bpn.gov). All contractors are reminded, in accordance with DFARS 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration, that lack of registration in the CCR database BY AWARD DATE will make a contractor ineligible for award. Please acknowledge all requirements in bids. NO PARTIAL BIDS WILL BE CONSIDERED. NO PARTIAL AWARDS WILL BE MADE. No response to this notice is necessary. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract, nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any bid preparation costs.
