- Description
- The Naval Inventory Control Point, Mechanicsburg, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with DataDirect Networks (DDN) to upgrade storage for an existing S2A9900. Because DDN, the OEM, sells directly to customers, no reasonable competition is expected from distributors or resellers; therefore, the proposed acquisition is being pursued on a sole-source basis. The products will be procured in accordance with FAR 13.5. A firm fixed price contract is contemplated for the proposed contract vehicle with an anticipated award date on or about July 30th, 2009. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by closing date will be considered by the government. A determination of the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
