- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC)-Iowa City, is soliciting and intends to award a firm fixed price contract for Architecture/Engineering services, "A/E Repair Parking Lot - Phase I" at the VAMC in Iowa City, IA. NAICS Code 541310, size standard $4.5 million. A/E shall prepare plans for the repair of the existing parking lots (A West and A East) and drainage system located at the VA Medical Center, 601 Highway 6 West, Iowa City, IA 52246. Plans shall include all site preparation, grading, curbs and gutters, drainage inlets and manholes, road pavement, pavement markings, and all incidental items necessary to complete the work. Parking is a minimal: approximately 200 parking spaces will be affected. A/E is also to devise a plan to coordinate construction to minimize impacts to the activities surrounding the project site. A/E is to provide a boundary and topographical survey of the entire VA Medical Center (approximately 12 acres) to include but not limited to the following: The boundary survey shall include finding or setting all property pins, to include preparing and recording a "Replacement Plat of Survey". The topographical survey shall include elevations at 1 foot contour intervals and a utilities study to include all above and below ground utilities. Estimated construction cost range is between $500,000 to $1,000,000. Area of consideration: Firms must be within 150 mile radius, of the VAMC-Iowa City, IA. Please, submit your qualifications and past performance data on SF 330 (architecture-engineer qualifications); and for any consultants, to be used, on SF 330 sections E and F.
