- The U.S. Department of Education, Office of Communications and Outreach, intends to make a sole source award to procure pavilion space at the National Black Family Reunion Celebration, a two-day event that is recognized as the largest, most significant family event in the nation. The event is organized by the National Council of Negro Women, Inc. and will be held on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. on September 12-13, 2009. The award will include: choice of one 40' x 40' themed pavilion/exhibit space (including tables, chairs, electricity, stage and sound); access to more than 500,000 African American parents, youth and influencers over two days; logo, name and URL link on special National Council of Negro Women, Inc. website; logo placement or mention in promotional materials and weekend program; and prominently displayed signage at sponsored events. This solicitation will be awarded in accordance with the authority of 13.106-1(b)(1) only one responsible source.
