- Description
- The Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act mandates a national assessment of career and technical education (CTE) to examine the status and progress of CTE in the U.S. One key objective is to study the characteristics of CTE teachers. Because of this objective, data analysis of Praxis II assessment and SAT data will be necessary to assess the preparation of prospective CTE teachers of secondary education. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 13.106-1b. This source developed, collected, analyzed, and reported on the related data on teachers and has extensive knowledge and experience regarding the data system. This analysis will allow the U.S. Department of Education to provide additional information about the characteristics of CTE teachers. The intended source is Educational Testing Service (ETS), Rosedale Road, Princeton, NJ 08541.
