- RECOVERY-- The project consists of maintenance dredging of approximately 910,300 cubic yards of unclassified material from the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway between Winyah Bay and Ashepoo River Charleston, Colleton, and Georgetown Counties, South Carolina. Dredged material shall be placed in the designated disposal areas. Some of the disposal areas will require repair work to handle the disposal material from this project. Approximately 3 Spillways will need repairs, some of the disposal areas will require some berming to restore some of the dikes to match the existing dikes, and some areas of the dikes will need to be sandbagged as necessary to contain dredged material. The work includes complying with the requirements of the Endangered Species Act and Marine Mammals Protection Act. MAGNITUDE OF WORK is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. This solicitation is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. Contractor must be registered in the DOD Central contractor Registration (CCR) prior to award of this solicitation. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments will only be available in electronic format, downloadable from the internet. No CD-ROMs or hardcopy documents will be distributed. Bidders must be registered in the CCR and at the Federal Business Opportunity Homepage (www.fbo.gov) in order to view or download the solicitation documents. It is the responsibility of bidders to monitor the website for notices and amendments. The solicitation will be posted on or about July 10, 2009 with bids due on or about August 11, 2009.
