Description

Request for Information Documentation This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. There is no solicitation package available at this time. Battelle Memorial Institute, Pacific Northwest Division, operator of the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is seeking qualified companies capable of fabricating a liquid helium Dewar Transfer System (DTS) capable to continuously flow liquid helium into its 900 MHz magnet to maintain a static level of liquid helium in the upper liquid helium vessel of the magnet. The system shall collect all helium gas boil-off resulting from liquid helium transfer and recycle the helium gas via an existing recovery bag, recovery compressor(s) and impure storage tubes. This work scope is in support of the Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory (EMSL) at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) located in Richland, WA. PNNL anticipates a formal Request for Proposal will be issued by August 31, 2009 with eventual contract award expected by September 30, 2009.
