Description
The planned procurement is being competed restricted to Small Businesses in accordance with FAR 19.502-2 Total Small Business Set-Asides under NAICS 238910 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The Defense Distribution Depot Pearl Harbor has a requirement to procure one (1) vertical panel saw. The following physical characteristics are being provided for information purposes and any interested offerors are required to review the Statement of Work which will be posted along with the solicitation: 3 phase 208v to 204v continuous saw motor, welded steel frame and integrated stand system, dual v-track precision guide system, dust collection ready, capable of cutting panel sizes of 5 foot by 10 foot, saw blades sizes of 10 inches with a max cutting depth of 2 and ¾ inches, 1 year parts warranty, and a lifetime frame warranty. The vertical panel saw shall be delivered within sixteen (16) weeks of any award. A Request For Quote (RFQ) for written offers is planned to be issued the week of August 10, 2009. Planned evaluation will be lowest priced technically acceptable where technical acceptability will be determined through descriptive literature demonstrating that the offerer’s quote meets the minimum Government requirements stated in the Statement Of Work which will be provided at the time the RFQ is posted. Descriptive literature: Illustrations, drawings, or a clear reference to previously furnished descriptive data or information available; and clearly describe any modification the offeror plans to make in a product to make it conform to the solicitation requirements. Mark any descriptive material to clearly show the modification. The anticipated award date is by September 11, 2009. Additional information will be provided at the time the solicitation is issued. Access to the solicitation package to include the specifications will only be made available to prospective offerors via the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website at http: www.fbo.gov. Hard copies of the RFQ package will not be distributed. Any questions concerning this project should be directed to the Contract Specialist Alan Noble at Alan.Noble@dla.mil. All questions should be submitted in writing via email to the above. Prospective offerors are cautioned concerning their responsibility to access the website for any amendments that may be issued under the RFQ. There will be no advance notification of amendment issuance. Prospective offerors are advised to consult the website frequently to check for any amendments. Amendments may be issued up until the proposal due date. Failure to acknowledge amendments may render your offer ineligible for award. To receive awards resulting from solicitations issued after May 31, 1998, your company must be registered in the DoD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Contractor may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http:// www.ccr.gov. Prospective contractors shall also complete electronic annual representations and certifications at http://orca.bpn.gov in conjunction with required registration the CCR database. All responsible concerns may submit a bid which shall be considered by this agency. The Government intends to award one contract as a result of the quotation. Award will be made to the lowest firm-fixed price on a lump-sum basis, responsible bidder. An offeror must be determined responsible according to the standards of FAR Subpart 9 to be eligible for award.
