Description
Sole Source. Mission & Installation Contracting Command Yuma, Yuma Proving Ground (YPG), Arizona, intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis with Leica Geosystems Acquisition, Inc., 2942 Century Place, Costa Mesa, CA 92626. This contract will be for the purchase of Leica GNSS System upgrades consisting of the following: Part number 756265 Upgrade to AT504 GG; part number 751225 for GSW567 GLONASS option for GRX1200 GG Pro; Part number 751186 for GSW565 for GLONASS option for GX1230 GG, RX1250 controller series; Part number 755267 for AT504 GG, GPS/GLONASS dual-frequency choke-ring antenna; Part number 667140 for Weather-protection radome. YPG currently has a number of GNSS systems, total station systems, controllers, precision modular EDMs, digital levels, lasers, processing and surveying software, and an array of support accessories (radios, batteries, chargers, cables, tripods, etc) built by Leica Geosystems Inc. In order to be fully interchangeable and compliant with the current Leica systems, and to reduce replacement costs of the entire system, all upgrades must be 100% compatible with existing software and equipment. Leica Geosystems is located in Costa Mesa, California and is the sole source of Leica Geosystems Surveying Grade products in Southern California, Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico. Award of this requirement will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements or submit proposals. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. If you feel that your firm possesses the ability to provide these services, then you must respond by 29 July 2009, 9:00AM MST.
