- Arcata Associates Inc. intends to issue an emergency sole make and model all ornone requirement to procure Lenel, HID, Marshall Best, Sentrol/GE, Securitron, WindyCity, and Power Sonic hardwarein support of the Common Badging and Access ControlSystem (CBACS), NASA Center's Enterprise Physical Access Control System (E-PACS) for theGoddard Space Flight Centers Greenbelt, MD Facility.All hardware shall have a two (2)year warranty.All bidders must be LENEL certified VARs and shall supply LENEL certificationdocumentation when submitting their proposals. Arcata Associates, Inc. intends to purchase this service from Value Added Resellers(VARs) of Lenel, HID, Marshall Best, Sentrol/GE, Securitron, Windy City, and Power Sonicpursuantto FAR 6-302-2, which implements the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (2) for acquisitionof a specific make, model, under unusual and compelling urgency that would result inserious (financial or other) injury to the Government.Interested firms have until 27 July 2009 4:00 PM CDST to submit in writing to theidentified point of contact, the attached Request for Quote, and all associated paperwork per the special instructions. Responses received after 27 July 2009 4:00 PM CDSTwithout the required information will be considered non responsive to thesynopsis/solicitation and will not be considered. A determination by Arcata Associates,Inc. to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open cost competitive basis,based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of ArcataAssociates, Inc. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested per theattached Request for Quotation(RFQ), and includes complete description and part numberstogether with Representation and Certifications, and Arcata Associates, Inc. Terms andConditions and all attachments must be completed in order for consideration. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor this Internet site for the release of anyamendments, and clarifying questions and answers. For subscribers to the WWW who wish toobtain the relevant documents covering this synopsis, please access said information athttp://procurement.nasa.gov as no hardcopy will be provided by this office.
