- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, in conjunction with FAR 13.5, as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is NTC09-09-HIGG-01 and is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-31. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 532310 with a small business size standard of $7.00M. This requirement is a [ Small Business ] set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit bids. Light tower units shall be powered by dependable diesel engines with minimum 30-gallon fuel tanks for 68 hours of operation. 120v GFI, 240v twist, 360 tower rotation. Period of Performance (POP) is 25 July 2009 - 6 August 2009, then again on 22 August 2009 - 29 August 2009. Items will be delivered to the Movement Control Center (MCC) located within the Fort Irwin training area. Primary and backup generators shall be diesel/JP8 type. The equipment must withstand the rough high desert terrain of Fort Irwin. The equipment must withstand 70+mph wind gusts of the Fort Irwin high desert area.
