- Description
- The USDA Forest Service, Gifford Pinchot National Forest, intends to acquire by contract construction services for road repair work on Forest Road 54. The project work entails repairing multiple sites damaged during flood events. Specifically the work consists of installation of a 48 inch pipe, placement of approximately 4,000 cubic yards of fill material, and slide removal at multiple sites. The solicitation for this project will be issued on or about August 5, 2009 with proposals due August 20, 2009. The period for performance will be 21 days from issuance of a Notice to Proceed, which is anticipated to be issued on or about August 31, 2009. The solicitation issued will utilize FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition procedures. This acquisition is issued as a total HUBZone set-aside. Offerors will be evaluated on price, experience, past performance, and technical approach to the project. A single contract will be awarded to the offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is the best value to the government. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on the part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award.
