- RECOVERY THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. SPECIAL NOTICE NUMBER: W91278-09-99-ARRA. 15 FT BATWING MOWERS FOR ALABAMA RIVER LAKES SITE OFFICE, HAYNEVILLE, ALABAMA. THE PROJECT DESCRIPTION IS AS FOLLOWS: The Mobile District Corps of Engineers intends to issue a new firm fixed price contract for 15 ft Batwing Mowers for Alabama River Lakes Site Office, Hayneville, AL. Equipment should match or be equivalent to a John Deere CX15 or Land Price RC6515. Cutting Width, (in.) 180; Cutting Height, (in.) 1 to 16; Cutting Capacity (diameter), (in.) 4; Cutting Chamber Depth, (in.) 10.5; Tractor PTO HP Range, 55+; Tractor PTO, 540 to 1000; Static Vert. Drawbar Load Rating, (lb.) 2115. Hitch: Pull-type with ball-type self-leveling hitch clevis for easy hook-up with 10,000 lb Safety Tow Chain. Blades: by 4 material, alloy spring steel, airlift design. Free swinging when encountering obstructions. 6 overlap for better cutting. Blade tip speed: 15,500 fpm. Hydraulics: Wing Lift, Standard; includes spring assist unfolding. Wing Flex, degrees, 90 up, 22 down. Wheels: 5-bolt 21x5.25x9 laminated. Suspension: Air cushion with shock absorbers on all 4 wheel standards. Chain guards front and rear. Deck: Extra Heavy Duty. Minimum Upper 0.138 in.; Lower 0.177 in.; and Skirt 0.25 in.. Other features include: Replaceable center and wing skid shoes, transport locking bars for each wing, heavy duty tongue assembly with dual leveling rods, hydraulic hose holder, jack for easy hookup and unhooking from tractor. WARRANTY - Equipment shall come with standard (1) one year Manufacturer warranty. Include copy of warranty with bid. This firm fixed priced contract will also incorporate contract clauses required for projects involving Recovery Act funds. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this procurement is 333111; the size standard for which is 500 employees. The solicitation will be issued as a direct download at the Federal Business Opportunity (FBO) website: http://www.fbo.gov on or about 04 August 2009. All prospective bidders must be registered in FBO prior to downloading solicitation information.
