- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Investigation intends to negotiate a one-time, sole-source, firm-fixed price contract with SafetyTech International, Inc., Frederick, MD, under Request for Quote (RFQ) number RFQ-C003113. SafetyTech International, Inc. is to provide the Federal Bureau of Investigation with 100 each C-420 Blower 3-Speed with Bladder and Remote Connector (Part Number M-60083-001), 400 each Beathing tube assembly with 90-Degree Swivel and Cover, Gore ChemPak Ultra Barrier with Cordura Sleeving (Part Number M-30107-001), 500 each Filter Shower Caps (Part Number M-70004-001), 200 each C-420 Blower 3-Speed with Bladder (Part Number M-60082-001), and 150 each C-420 Remote Cable Assembly, 38" with 90-Degree Connector (Part Number M-60039-001.) Market research has determined that the Federal Bureau of Investigation's requirement can only be provided by SafetyTech International, Inc. because they are the sole manufacturer of the air purification system made from the components listed above. However, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement or submit proposals to this office by 1:00pm EDT, July 28, 2009, to Ms. Theresa M. Powell, the Contracting Officer, via email at Theresa.Powell@ic.fbi.gov. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) number is 333411, and the size standard is 500. This contract will be awarded as a commercial item in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Part 12. Telephone requests will not be accepted.
