- THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE TO CONTRACTORS UNDER MULTIPLE AWARD CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT (MACC) N68711-05-D-4076 (NAVFAC SW00040) BEQ. The work includes, but is not limited to, renovation of a 71,727 sq. ft. bachelor housing barracks built in 1975. Building 3204 consists of three, three story wings (a, b & c) surrounding a detached, single-story common-use core building. The berthing wings are linked by exterior exit balconies and covered exterior stair towers. Berthing rooms are provided by four unit modules that are clustered around small lounges. The core building contains the lobby, assignment desk, laundry, linen storage, vending, public restrooms and mechanical spaces (hot water boilers). Renovation to the housing units includes upgraded interiors. Exterior to the housing units will include new windows, conduit runs, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, security and fire protection systems. The central core support building is to receive a new exterior finish and new windows and roofing. The interior of the building will be refinished and renovated, including new exhaust ducting, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, security and fire protection systems. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 236220 and the annual size standard is $33.5M. "Estimated cost: $5,000,000 to $10,000,000." This is a new procurement. It does not replace an existing contract. No information exists on prior contracts. The proposed contract action is for construction for which the Government intends to solicit and award without discussion under the authority of FAR Part 15. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The solicitation utilizes source selection procedures which require offerors to submit a technical proposal, and a price proposal for evaluation by the Government.
