- RECOVERY--THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER W9128F-09-T-0082. On or about of 14 July 2009, this office will issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) W9128F-09-T-0082 for a contract for the Upgrade and Calibration of eight Siemens EX-1 Static Exciter Units at the Big Bend Project, Fort Thompson, South Dakota. Quotes will be due by 2:00 P.M. on 28 July 2009. This solicitation is set-aside for small businesses under NAICS Code 811310 Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Repair and Maintenance, with a size standard of $7.0 million. The Contractor shall accomplish (1)Installation and Calibration of replacement -525 Regular Boards to include IEEE standard test for large signal step response with and without the power system stabilizers in service; (2) Preventive Maintenance of the Exciter Units to include lubrication and cleaning of the Exciter Breaker, calibration of all meters and transducers, testing of bridge assemblies, and any other preventive maintenance checks required by manufacture or service manual; and (3) Contractor to provide two spare -525 regular boards.
