Description
On or about 6 August 2009, this office will issue Request for Proposal, W9128F-09-R-0084, for design and construction of a standard design Chapel Center, Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. The solicitation will close on or about 17 September 2009. This solicitation is RESTRICTED TO HUBZone BUSINESS PARTICIPATION ONLY. The North American Industry Classification System code for this project is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, with a size standard of $33,500,000 in average gross annual receipts for the past 3 fiscal years. The estimated design and construction cost of this project is between 5 and 7.5 million dollars. A site visit is scheduled on 20 August 2009 at 0900 (local time). DO NOT submit requests for plans and specifications to the site visit personnel listed above. See Obtaining Solicitation Documents below. ______________________________________________________________________________ Project Description (Approx. quantities) Design and Construct of a standard design Chapel Center. Sanctuary: 400 seating capacity. Sanctuary includes; pulpit area and baptismal suite. The facility include; religious education classrooms, 2 multi purpose rooms, blessed sacrament room, sacristy/ robing room, choir room, resource center, nursery, restrooms, kitchen. Exterior; includes paving,walks,curbs and gutters, parking, information system, anti-terrorism/force protection measures, storm drainage, landscaping and site improvements. Access for the handicapped will be provided. Connection to the Energy Monitoring Control System and interior communications/building information systems. Heating and A/C 125 tons will be provided with separately zoned self contained units. Supporting facilities include utilities, electric service, emergency and security lighting, fire protection detection and alarm systems. Comprehensive interior design services are required. The total space requirement for the primary facility is approximately 22,600 SF. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required after award. Representations and certifications are required to be updated annually as a minimum to keep information current, accurate and complete. The electronic annual representations and certifications are effective until one year from date of submission or update to ORCA.
