Description
RECOVERY ACT - Renovate Nursing Home Care Unit into a Community Living Center, is being amended to clarify wording regarding the revised drawings issued with amendment number 1. All other terms and conditions remain the same, including the bid opening date. RECOVERY ACT - Renovate Nursing Home Care Unit into a Community Living Center, is being amended to upload revised drawings. The AE has made some changes and they encapsulated in balloons. Please disregard the previously uploaded drawings and use the revised drawings. All other terms and conditions remain the same, including the bid opening time of July 30, 2009 at 2:00 PM, local time. It is the offerors responsibility to be sure they are correctly registered in all required websites, vetbiz, ccr, orca, vets100 and that includes the proper NAICS code listing. These registrations must be completed before bid opening. There is a mandatory site visit July 15, 2009 at 10:00 AM, local time. All offerors must attend in order to submit a bid. RECOVERY ACT - Renovate Nursing Home Care Unit into a Community Living Center, Project R552-08-214 is now ready. The Bid Opening date is July 30, 2009 at 2:00 PM, local time, in the conference room on the first floor of building 408, at the VA Medical Center, 4100 West Third Street, Dayton, OH 45428. You must submit your bid to the Contracting Officer, also located on the first floor of building 408, before the bid opening time of 2:00 PM. There is a MANDATORY SITE VISIT JULY 15, 2009 AT 10:00 AM, local time. The details are located on the bidders checklist page in the solicitation. This is a 100% Set Aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). All other information in the original announcement, also listed below applies. All documents are in electronic format and are posted at www.fbo.gov. No hard copies of the solicitation will be issued, nor are they available. Please read the solicitation, specifications and drawings carefully. Any questions regarding the solicitation, specifications and or drawings must be in writing, on the firm's letterhead and list a point of contact. They may be faxed to 937-262-5974. There is no guarantee that e-mail requests for information or questions will be responded to, although every effort will be made. No telephone requests for information will be answered. RECOVERY ACT - Renovate Nursing Home Care Unit into a Community Living Center, Project R552-08-214 - This requirement is for the contractor to provide, but not limited to providing all the necessary materials, labor, tools, equipment, insurance, electrical, plumbing and mechanical work and supervision to renovate Nursing Home Care Unit, into a Community Living Center at Building 320, PODS B and E at the VA Medical Center, 4100 West Third Street, Dayton, OH 45428. All work is to be completed in accordance with the specifications and drawings. Work includes, but is not limited to the renovation and upgrade of interior architectural components and finishes, and plumbing, electrical and mechanical components throughout. There will be some renovation to the POD B interior courtyard. The design for renovation of PODS B and E shall be geared to provide a home-like or residential-like atmosphere for patients. SET-ASIDE INFORMATION: This solicitation will be issued pursuant to the authority of Public Law 109-461 (38 USC 8127) and is a 100% Set-Aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The SDVOSB must be small under the relevant North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code and MUST be registered and able to be verified in the following websites: http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov, http://ccr.gov, https:vets100.vets.dol.gov and http://orca.bpn.gov to be eligible for award. Bidders MUST ensure registration in these websites are accurate and have not expired prior to bid opening date. Project magnitude is between $2,000,000.00 - $5,000,000.00. The NAICS code is 236220 and the business size standard is $33.5 million. BONDS in form of Bid, Payment and Performance will be required. SITE VISIT: will be scheduled and that information will be in the solicitation package. The solicitation documents will be posted at www.fbo.gov on or about June 23, 2009, with bid opening approximately 30 days later. Dissemination of the specifications is limited to electronic medium. Drawings and Specifications will be available electronically with the solicitation documents. All interested Bidders (primes & subcontractors) should register at www.fbo.gov so that others will know of your interest in participating in this procurement and for automatic receipt of updates or amendments. A Bidder's mailing list or site visit attendees WILL NOT be prepared nor distributed by the Contracting Officer, as it is the Bidders responsibility to register at the Fbo.gov website in the "watchlist" and interested vendor sections. SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at www.fbo.gov Paper copies of the amendment will NOT be individually mailed. By registering in the "watchlist" and any other appropriate sections, you will be notified by e-mail of any new amendments that have been issued and posted. No other notification amendment will be provided. Bidders are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation prior to the time for receipt of offers as prescribed by FAR 52.214-3 Amendments to Invitation for Bids. Bidders should re-visit the Website periodically to look for updates. All requests for information are required to be in writing to the Contracting Officer and shall be received within 10 days prior to bid opening; no telephone inquiries will be accepted. Questions may be faxed to 937-262-5974. The Contracting Officer cannot guarantee that a response to e-mailed questions will be received. See Numbered Note 29.
