- Description
- Construction of the Jackass Bend Service Road - Work consists of, but is not limited to, furnishing all labor, tools, equipment, materials, superintendence, and transportation necessary to construct the Jackass Bend Service Road, Big Muddy National Wildlife and Fish Refuge, Columbia, Missouri. The work consists of clearing vegetation and stripping topsoil for new roadway (approximately west 750 feet), grading existing and new roadway, laying geotextile fabric and placing aggregate or rock surfacing as specified on existing and new access road. Project also includes installation of a new gate. This procurement is issued unrestricted with regards to business size under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program (Public Law 100-656) and is NOT set-aside exclusively for small business concerns. For information purposes, the North American Industrial Classification Systems Code (NAICS) is 237310, with a Small Business Size Standard of $33.5 million. The estimated magnitude of construction in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range is between $100,000 and $250,000. Solicitation packages will be available via electronic commerce at http://www.fedbizopps.gov and http://ideasec.nbc.gov approximately July 31, 2009, with bid opening occurring on or about August 31, 2009. Firms are encouraged to use the website listed above to add their name to an electronic bidder's list. The solicitation package will include the following: An itemized bid schedule, scope of work, drawings, and prevailing wage determination. Please ensure you have a complete downloaded solicitation package before submitting your bid. It is the contractor's responsibility to ensure they have all the correct information and required bid documents, including any amendments that may be issued, in order to submit a competitive bid.
