- RECOVERY--The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for equipment rental, drainage and site work at Georgetown Harbor Disposal Areas, Georgetown County, South Carolina. The work will consist of (but not limited to) furnishing all plant, equipment (Long Reach Back Hoes, Bull Dozers, Fuel Trucks, and other related equipment), transportation, fuel-lubricant, supplies and materials and performing all operations to dewater the dredged material placed in the Waccama Neck and Sampit River Disposal Areas. This will be accomplished by a rental contract to deepen the existing perimeter drainage ditches and deepening of interior collector ditches and laterals. Other related work will include clearing brushy vegetation off the dikes and inside slopes, inside berms, and interior (where possible), and grading of the slopes and berms. This will be a 100% Service Disable Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside IAW FAR 19.1405. The NAICS Code is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction and the size standard is $33.5 Million. This will be a Firm-Fixed Price Construction Project. MAGNITUDE OF WORK $500,000.00 to $1,000,000.00. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments will only be available in electronic format, downloadable from the internet. No CD-ROMs or hardcopy documents will be distributed. Contractor must be registered in CCR prior to award of a contract. Solicitation documents, plans, and specifications will only be available at www.fbo.gov. It is the responsibility of the bidders to monitor the website for notices and amendments. The solicitation will be posted on or about 31 Jul 2009 with proposals due on or about 31 Aug 2009.
