- Description
- The Forest Service intends to solicit proposals for a firm-fixed price Stewardship Contract on the White River National Forest. The work will consist of felling, limbing, helicopter yarding of designated material, and fuels treatment such as slashing of material. The work will take place on approximately 80 acres of FS land. Timber estimate includes required removal of 1,820 CCF of sawtimber; 20 CCF of POL; and 217 CCF of biomass. Goods will be traded for services to meet the objectives of this project. Solicitation AG-82X9-S-09-9008 will be issued on this website(www.fedbizopps.gov) on or around July 31, 2009. The NAICS is 113310 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The solicitation will be set aside for small business. Any eligible, responsible small business may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The FS anticipates that one award will be made from this solicitation using best value techniques and stewardship authority. The period of performance will be 1 year from date of award. Information concerning a Pre-proposal Site Visit will be posted in the solicitation.
