Description

Posted Brand Name Justification The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to purchase software particular to one manufacturer as set forth in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.501 (a)(1)(i) “Conduct sole source acquisitions, as defined in 2.101, (including brand name) under this subpart.” As it stands, CADAC Organice Software is the only known manufacturer of Organice Publisher and Explorer Software. This software is used to allow personnel to access building information in its native DWG format to manage and publish facilities information in digital content. Any vendor capable of providing software that can perform the essential requirements must present electronic/written evidence of such capabilities by July 22, 2009. The evidence must include a discussion of how the software would satisfy the proposed requirements. This is NOT a Request for Proposal, and the Government does not intend to pay for information submitted. Requests for copies of a solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged. Respondents will NOT be notified of the results of the information received. Verbal responses are NOT acceptable and will NOT be considered. All responses must be sent to Traci.leach@ssa.gov by Wednesday, July 22, 2009 3:00 pm EST.
