- Request for Information (RFI): This is a Sources Sought Notice only. The 325th Contracting Squadron is seeking information concerning the availability of capable contractors to provide parts for Detroit Diesel Engines at Tyndall AFB FL for Watercraft Diesel Engines. A firm fixed price type contract is contemplated. This RFI is for market research and planning purposes only and is an attempt to locate businesses experienced in Detroit Diesel Engine parts that express interest in performing these requirements. This RFI shall not be construed as a formal solicitation or an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. Any information provided to the Government is strictly voluntary and at no cost to the Government. A formal solicitation will be announced separately. The Government will award one contract. Information obtained from this sources-sought notice may result in a future formal Request for Proposal. Please refer to this notice as FA4819-09-TYN-RFI-0001. The planned NAICS (North American Industry Classification System) code is 333618, with the applicable small business size standard of 1,000 employees. Contacts to Government personnel by potential offerors regarding this project are not allowed. The contracting specialist, 1LT John Purcell, will post all information regarding this solicitation as soon as it becomes available. Description of Items and Quantity: CLIN 0001 Genuine Detroit Diesel Cylinder Head Gasket Set. P/N 5199674 4 Each CLIN 0002 Genuine Detroit Diesel Cylinder Head. P/N R23504272A. This procurement part number requires a core turn-in. There are four cylinder head cores available for turn in. 4 Each CLIN 0003 Genuine Detroit Diesel Thermostat (170 Degrees). P/N 23503826 6 Each CLIN 0004 Genuine Detroit Diesel Unit Injector. Type 5670 P/N R5235670. This procurement requires a core turn-in. There are 32 unit injector cores available for turn-in. 16 Each CLIN 0005 Genuine Detroit Diesel Unit Injector Jumper Line (Long). P/N 23504073 16 Each CLIN 0006 Genuine Detroit Diesel Unit Injector Jumper Line (short) P/N 23504072. 16 Each CLIN 0007 Genuine Detroit Diesel Unit Injector Jumper Line O-Ring. There are four connecting rods available for core turn-in. 8 Each CLIN 0010 Genuine Detroit Diesel Exhaust Manifold Bolt. P/N 23509245. 40 Each CLIN 0011 Genuine Jabsco Raw Water Pump Impeller. P/N 17370-0001. 2 Each CLIN 0012 Genuine Jacsoc Raw Water Pump Cam Liner. P/N 17374-1000 1 Each CLIN 0013 Genuine Detroit Diesel 92 Series Piston Cylinder Kit. P/N 23524370. 16 Each CLIN 0014 Genuine Detroit Diesel front crankshaft (p/N R8927720-S). The crankshaft shall be used in a Detroit Diesel engine 16V92MTA (Model # 8162-7400 Serial # 16VFO7235) This procurement part requires a core turn-in. A Core turn-in shall be available once the old crankshaft has been approved for replacement by an authorized Detroit Diesel repair facility. The time frame for returning the crankshaft is estimated at 60 to 90 days. 1 Each. Any information submitted by respondents to this Sources Sought is strictly voluntary. The Government will not pay for any information that is submitted by respondents to this Sources Sought.
