- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR The Relocate Directors Suite Project at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center, Iron Mountain, MI. Contractor shall furnish all labor, superintendence, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, licenses, certificates, insurance, temporary protection to Relocate the Directors Suite at the Oscar G. Johnson VAMC, Iron Mountain, Michigan. This Project consists of the renovation of the existing far east wing (rooms 5240, 5242, 5243, 5245, and 5247) of the fifth floor to office and administrative areas. Work to include demolition, architectural, fire protection, minor HVAC, minor plumbing, and electrical work as required by drawings and specifications. This project does not include window replacement. There will be some asbestos abatement. This construction project is set-aside for Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSBs). All prospective contractors must be registered on the VetBiz website, www.vetbiz.gov, to be considered for award. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be posted on Fedbizops. There will be pre-construction conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-construction conference will be included in the solicitation packages. The solicitation will be issued on/about August 3, 2009 with the bid opening on/about September 2, 2009. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from Fedbizops which may be issued to this solicitation. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006. Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to VOSB construction firms. The project magnitude range is between $100,000 - $250,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220; size standard $33.5 Million applies. Time for completion is 60 days after Notice to Proceed. In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, Required Central Contractor Registration and in accordance with FAR 2.101, VAAR 802.101, VetBiz Registration, prospective firms must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and in the VetBiz databases prior to award.
