- Description
- The Philadelphia VA Medical Center is seeking qualified Architect-Engineer services to develop plans and specificaations for the construction and renovation to upgrade the Canteen Service located in building #1 on the first floor. Work will also include the renovation and expansion of the Canteen Kitchen which will involve new kitchen equipment such as ovens, ranges and walk-in refrigerators, etc. expansions of the retail store into adjoining storage area and installation of new display cases and furniture is also included. The total space involved is approximately 6,000 sq ft. the estimated construction cost is between $500,000 - $1,000,000. Architect-Engineer services will include planning meetings with department officials in order to develop conceptual layouts for the equipment and furniture in both the kitchen and retail store. Work will include new heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC)systems along with new electrical system as required. Since all work is to be completed over existing space we are looking for an Architect with a good background in renovation and experience in kitchen and retail stores. Areas in building #1 are over 50 years old..There are no proposals available for this project, just submit your SF330 and any other pertinent information by mail. DO NOT SEND BY E-MAIL, WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. All proposals must be received by COB (Close of Business) August 21, 2009; nothing will be accepted after this date. This procurement is being set aside for SDVOSB only.
